TravelTime API attribution

When do I need to include attributionanchor icon

Attribution should be included whenever TravelTime data, or analysis created using this data, is made available to users outside of the primary user's organisation (the 'Licensee').

This includes, for example:

  • A mobile or web application where search functionality is powered by the TravelTime API
  • A report that is produced using one of the TravelTime plugins and is shared with a third party, such as an end customer
  • A blog post, article, tweet, or research paper where TravelTime data is used to create any of the results / visuals / analysis

How to include attributionanchor icon

In the majority of cases, a simple linked text attribution is all that is required. Specific details can be found below.

Visuals / images / mapsanchor icon

When TravelTime data is displayed directly (e.g an isochrone on a map) then the following attribution should be used:

  • Attribution text - "TravelTime"
  • Attribution link - https://traveltime.com/docs/api/overview/introduction

Reports / articles anchor icon

When TravelTime data is used indirectly (e.g to calculate reachable population values in a report) then the following attribution should be used:

  • Attribution text - "Location data analysis provided by TravelTime"
  • Attribution link - https://traveltime.com/docs/api/overview/introduction

Map Tilesanchor icon

When using the Map Tiles API from TravelTime (e.g as the base map on a web application) then the following attribution should be used:

  • Attribution text - "OpenStreetMap | Created with TravelTime API"
  • Attribution links - https://www.openstreetmap.org | https://traveltime.com
  • The below code snippet can be used for these purposes:
    Map data &copy; <a href="https://www.openstreetmap.org/">OpenStreetMap</a> | Created with <a href="https://traveltime.com" target="_blank">TravelTime API</a>sdgf

When displaying TravelTime data on a base map from the TravelTime API (e.g an isochrone on a TravelTime map) then only the Map Tiles attribution is required.
